The NE season started at New Jersey Motorsports Park's Lightning circuit April 17th and 18th 2010. NASA NE put on a great event with a sold out thunder group, Saturday night BBQ and more. American Iron had 4 cars in AI and 2 in Xtreme. In race 1 Rob Avati drove away from the competition in his #33 mustang taking the win while Todd Honczarenko and Al Watson battled it out with their two mustangs passing each other multiple times during the race until Honczarenko started to run out of fuel in the closing laps settling in the 3rd position. John Lownick claimed 4th in his chevy powered mustang and Bill Hallinan didnt make the grid due to front brake issues. Race 2 was much of the same with the #33 of Avati driving away with the win. Honczarenko and Watson briefly battled it out for 2nd but this time Watson slowed to claim the 3rd spot.
